Johnny Wilson

Wide Receiver · Florida State

One of the biggest receivers in recent draft memory, sidelined for all of 2025 by season-ending knee and ankle surgeries.

At 6-foot-6, Johnny Wilson brings a rare frame to the Eagles' receiver room after Philadelphia took him in the sixth round out of Florida State in 2024. A productive rookie season that included a Super Bowl LIX ring was followed by a lost 2025, wiped out by surgeries on both his knee and ankle.

Path to the league

Wilson began his college career at Arizona State before transferring to Florida State, where he became Jordan Travis' top target and finished with 84 catches for 1,514 yards and seven touchdowns over two seasons, earning second-team All-ACC honors in 2022. The Eagles drafted him in the sixth round, 185th overall, in 2024.

Career highlights

As a rookie in 2024, Wilson played in all 16 games with four starts, catching five passes for 38 yards and a touchdown, his first coming on a 5-yard grab from Jalen Hurts against Dallas. He capped the season by winning Super Bowl LIX as the Eagles beat Kansas City 40-22.

2025 season recap

Wilson's 2025 season ended before it began. The Eagles announced on August 21, 2025 that he would require season-ending surgeries on both his knee and ankle after injuries sustained in team practice, so he did not appear in a regular-season game that year.
