Jordan Hudson arrived at TCU as the No. 12 overall recruit in the 2022 class, but it was after transferring to SMU that he became a dangerous big-slot receiver. The Garland, Texas native and lifelong Cowboys fan went unselected in the 2026 NFL Draft before signing with Dallas as an undrafted free agent.
Path to the league
A five-star recruit who flipped from an Oklahoma commitment to sign with TCU, Hudson caught 14 passes for 174 yards and three touchdowns as a freshman before entering the transfer portal for SMU. He went undrafted in the 2026 NFL Draft but signed with the Dallas Cowboys shortly after, fulfilling a childhood dream after growing up a Cowboys fan in nearby Garland.
Career highlights
At SMU, Hudson posted 30 receptions for 425 yards and seven touchdowns in 2023, followed by 39 catches for 422 yards and five scores in 2024. He earned an invite to the 2026 Senior Bowl and was named to the Bleacher Report as the NFL's most exciting undrafted free agent.
2025 season recap
Hudson had a career year at SMU in 2025, hauling in 61 receptions for 766 yards and six touchdowns and earning third-team All-ACC honors. He met with the Cowboys twice around his pro day before signing with Dallas as an undrafted free agent, and he now projects as a big-slot option in camp.
