Josh Whyle brings size and reliable hands to the tight end room after a college career at Cincinnati where he set the program's record for touchdown catches by a tight end. Drafted by the Titans in 2023, he now looks to carve out a bigger role after joining the Packers.

Path to the league

Whyle starred at Cincinnati from 2018 to 2022, catching 88 passes for 1,062 yards and 15 touchdowns while earning three All-AAC selections and setting the school's career record for receiving touchdowns by a tight end. The Tennessee Titans drafted him in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, 147th overall.

Career highlights

Whyle spent his first two NFL seasons with the Titans, developing into a functional receiving option out of the tight end position. Over 28 regular-season games in Tennessee, he caught 37 passes for 342 yards and two touchdowns, including a 28-catch, 248-yard season in 2024.

2025 season recap

Whyle signed with the Packers' practice squad in August 2025 and was promoted to the active roster in early November. In limited action with Green Bay he recorded 3 catches for 24 yards and a touchdown, working to establish himself in a crowded tight end room.
