Kendre Miller arrived in New Orleans as a third-round pick out of TCU, where he was a first-team All-Big 12 running back the year the Horned Frogs reached the national championship game. Injuries have slowed his path to a featured role with the Saints.

Path to the league

Miller broke out as a junior at TCU, leading the team with 1,399 rushing yards on 224 carries (6.2 yards per attempt) and tying for eighth nationally with 17 rushing touchdowns, earning first-team All-Big 12 honors. A knee injury suffered in the Fiesta Bowl kept him out of the national championship game and NFL Combine testing, but the Saints still selected him with the 71st overall pick in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Career highlights

Miller has worked as a complementary back in New Orleans' backfield, contributing as both a runner and receiver while also seeing time as a kick returner. His best stretch of 2025 came in Week 4 against Buffalo, when he rushed 11 times for 65 yards and an 18-yard touchdown.

2025 season recap

Through seven games in 2025, Miller rushed 47 times for 193 yards and a touchdown while adding 5 catches for 30 yards and 393 kick-return yards. His season ended early after he tore his ACL in a loss to the Bears, ruling him out for the remainder of the year.
