Malik Harrison built his reputation at Ohio State as a downhill run defender, and he carried that identity into five seasons with the Ravens before signing with the rival Steelers. He describes himself as a versatile, aggressive presence who can line up all over a defense, and Pittsburgh is banking on that after a two-year deal.
Path to the league
Harrison started the final two seasons of his Ohio State career, leading the team in tackles as a senior in 2019 with 4.5 sacks and earning first-team All-Big Ten honors. The Baltimore Ravens selected him in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft, 98th overall.
Career highlights
Harrison played all five of his first NFL seasons with the Ravens, appearing in 76 games with 34 starts and totaling 174 tackles, seven tackles for loss and two sacks. His best season in Baltimore came in 2024, when he posted a career-high 54 tackles.
2025 season recap
Harrison signed a two-year, $10 million contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers in March 2025. He opened the season on injured reserve with a knee injury, was activated ahead of Week 9, and recorded 41 tackles over his final 11 games of the year.
