Malik Washington slipped to the sixth round of the 2024 draft despite a record-setting college season, mostly because of his smaller frame. He has since worked his way into a regular role in the Dolphins' offense, contributing as both a receiver and a change-of-pace ball carrier.

Washington authored a historic final season at Virginia in 2023, setting an ACC record with 110 receptions and a school-record 1,426 receiving yards, earning first-team All-ACC honors and a nod as a Biletnikoff Award semifinalist. Despite that production, his 5-foot-8 frame pushed him down draft boards, and the Dolphins took him in the sixth round, the 184th overall pick, in the 2024 NFL Draft.
