Miles Frazier arrived in Detroit after anchoring an LSU offensive line that helped Jayden Daniels win the Heisman Trophy. The Lions traded up to grab him in the fifth round, betting his mammoth frame and clean pass-protection tape can develop into interior line depth.

Path to the league

Frazier began his college career at Florida International, where he started at offensive tackle and earned Freshman All-American honors in 2021 before transferring to LSU. He started 39 of 40 games across three seasons in Baton Rouge and was part of a Joe Moore Award finalist offensive line in 2023.

Career highlights

At LSU, Frazier helped protect quarterback Jayden Daniels during his 2023 Heisman Trophy season, with the Tigers averaging over 45 points and 543 yards per game that year. He allowed only 4.0 sacks across 1,564 pass-blocking snaps in his three seasons with the Tigers, not surrendering a single sack in either of his final two campaigns.

2025 season recap

Detroit selected Frazier in the fifth round, 171st overall, in the 2025 NFL Draft, trading up to land him as the first LSU offensive lineman the franchise had drafted since 1988. He entered his rookie year competing for reps at guard behind the Lions' veteran interior line.
