Mo Alie-Cox is a veteran Indianapolis Colts tight end and former VCU basketball star who never played college football.

Alie-Cox starred for Virginia Commonwealth's basketball team before converting to football as an undrafted prospect. He has spent his entire NFL career with the Colts as a physical blocker and red-zone target. He re-signed with Indianapolis on a one-year deal for 2025.

Path to the league

Alie-Cox did not play college football. He played four seasons for the VCU Rams, reaching the NCAA Tournament each year. He signed with the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent and learned the tight end position in the NFL.

Alie-Cox re-signed with the Colts and caught 13 passes for 117 yards and a touchdown in 2025, per the team's player page. He served as the No. 2 tight end behind 2025 first-round pick Tyler Warren and remained a key run blocker. Through eight seasons he has 127 catches for 1,550 yards and 16 touchdowns.
