Moro Ojomo is a defensive tackle whose journey started in Nigeria before his family settled in the Houston area, where he starred at Katy High School. Once considered a late-round flier for the Eagles, he has steadily climbed the depth chart into a full-time starting role on Philadelphia's defensive line.

Path to the league

Ojomo played five seasons at Texas, redshirting as a true freshman before becoming a full-time starter by 2020. He finished his college career with 95 tackles, five sacks and 13.5 tackles for loss across 50 games. The Philadelphia Eagles selected him in the seventh round, 249th overall, of the 2023 NFL Draft after acquiring the pick in a trade with the Detroit Lions.

Ojomo has developed into what local media have called a late-round steal for Philadelphia, growing from a rotational lineman as a rookie into a full-time starter. He was part of the Eagles' Super Bowl LIX championship run, recording a sack in the divisional-round playoff win over the Rams and contributing on the interior line as Philadelphia defeated Kansas City 40-22.

2025 season recap

Ojomo set career highs across the board in 2025, playing all 17 games with nine starts and racking up 38 tackles, six sacks and six tackles for loss, a significant jump from his first two NFL seasons. His breakout year cemented him as a full-time piece of Philadelphia's defensive tackle rotation.
