Nahshon Wright's long-limbed frame made him a projected developmental prospect out of Oregon State, but it took a fourth NFL stop for it to click. After journeyman stints in Dallas, Minnesota and Chicago, he delivered a standout 2025 season that turned heads league-wide before joining the Jets.
Path to the league
Wright started his college career at Laney College before transferring to Oregon State, where he started two seasons and earned honorable-mention All-Pac-12 recognition in 2020. The Dallas Cowboys selected the 6-foot-4 corner in the third round, 99th overall, of the 2021 NFL Draft.
Career highlights
Wright played sparingly through his first four NFL seasons with Dallas and Minnesota, mostly in reserve and special-teams roles. He signed with the Chicago Bears in April 2025 and turned in a breakout year, highlighted by a 74-yard interception return touchdown in the season opener and a Hail Mary interception against Cincinnati in Week 9.
