Quez Watkins

A speedy deep threat nicknamed "Fast Batman," Quez Watkins spent his first five NFL seasons with the Eagles before a detour through Pittsburgh and Arizona.

Quez Watkins built his name at Southern Miss as a big-play receiver and carried that speed into a rotational NFL role with Philadelphia. After a brief stint away from the Eagles, injury setbacks limited his 2025 season, and he has since returned to the organization on a future contract.

Path to the league

Watkins was a two-time first-team All-Conference USA selection at Southern Miss, catching 64 passes for 1,178 yards and six touchdowns in 2019 alone. He finished his college career with 159 receptions for 2,404 yards and 17 touchdowns across three seasons. The Eagles selected him in the sixth round, 200th overall, of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Career highlights

Watkins played in 13 games as a rookie in 2020, catching seven passes for 106 yards and a touchdown. Over his career with the Eagles he has totaled 98 receptions for 1,249 yards and six touchdowns, earning the nickname "Fast Batman" for his straight-line speed. He briefly signed with Pittsburgh in 2024 before returning to the Eagles organization.

2025 season recap

Watkins did not appear in a regular-season game in 2025. He signed with Arizona but was released with an injury settlement, then joined Philadelphia's practice squad in late September. The Eagles signed him to a reserve/future contract in January 2026.
