A junior college transfer turned third-round pick, Rachaad White became a workhorse for Tampa Bay before settling into a productive committee role.

Rachaad White's path to the NFL wound through Nebraska-Kearney and a junior college before he broke out at Arizona State, and he carried that resilience into Tampa Bay, where he spent four seasons as a versatile every-down back capable of running and catching out of the backfield.

Path to the league

White began his college career at Nebraska-Kearney before transferring to Mt. San Antonio College and then Arizona State, where as a senior he rushed for 1,006 yards and 15 touchdowns on 182 carries while adding 43 receptions for 456 yards. Tampa Bay drafted him in the third round, 91st overall, in 2022.

Career highlights

White's best all-around season came in 2023, when he rushed for 990 yards and three touchdowns on 272 carries while catching 64 passes for 549 yards and three more scores. Across his Buccaneers career through 2025, he compiled over 2,600 rushing yards and more than 200 receptions, showcasing his value as a dual-threat back.

2025 season recap

White posted 132 carries for 572 yards and four touchdowns in 2025, his most efficient rushing season by yards per carry with Tampa Bay, even as the Buccaneers spread carries in a committee that included Bucky Irving and Sean Tucker. He added 40 receptions for 218 yards through the air.
