Rock Ya-Sin began his college career at Presbyterian before transferring to Temple, where he played his way into a second-round selection by the Colts in 2019. He has played for several teams as a starting-caliber corner. He signed with Detroit in 2025 and stayed healthy all season as the team's third cornerback.
Path to the league
Ya-Sin transferred from Presbyterian to Temple, where he posted 47 tackles, 12 pass breakups, and two interceptions in 2018. The Colts drafted him in the second round in 2019. He went on to play for multiple teams before joining the Lions.
2025 season
Ya-Sin signed with Detroit in March 2025 and played in all 17 games with six starts as the team's third cornerback. He recorded 47 tackles and a career-high nine passes defensed. He played all 17 regular-season games for the first time in his career, and the Lions agreed to re-sign him in March 2026.
