Rodney McGraw's college recruitment bounced from Indiana to Penn State to Louisville before he landed at Western Michigan, where he became a productive edge presence for the Broncos. He signed with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent after the 2026 draft.

Path to the league

A Chicago-area product out of Elkhart, Indiana, McGraw is listed at 6-foot-5 and roughly 264 to 275 pounds. His recruitment took several turns before he committed to Western Michigan, where he developed into a full-time starter on the defensive line.

Career highlights

McGraw was ranked 55th on Mel Kiper's final 2026 draft big board heading into the draft, a strong showing for a player from a Group of Five program. He built that stock with a physical, disruptive style up front for the Broncos.

2025 season recap

In his final season at Western Michigan, McGraw totaled 42 tackles, including 18 solo stops, 8.5 tackles for loss, seven sacks, 10 quarterback hits, two fumble recoveries and three forced fumbles over 14 games. He went undrafted in April 2026 but quickly signed with Miami as a free agent.
