Silas Walters built his college career from the ground up, going from a walk-on at Miami (Ohio) to one of the RedHawks' most reliable defensive backs and special teams players. The Lakota West High School product signed with Baltimore as an undrafted free agent in 2026.
Path to the league
Walters walked on at Miami (Ohio) and steadily worked his way into a starting safety role over four seasons. He went unselected in the 2026 NFL Draft and signed with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent shortly after.
Career highlights
Walters finished his college career with 200 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions and 24 pass breakups across 40 games. In 2023, he led the nation in special teams tackles, establishing himself as one of the country's top coverage players.
2025 season recap
Walters earned second-team All-Mid-American Conference honors in 2025 after recording 71 tackles and three interceptions, including picks against Wisconsin, Lindenwood and Buffalo. The productive senior season helped him land his undrafted deal with the Ravens.
