Versatile Steelers interior lineman who has become a valuable swing piece up front.
Spencer Anderson is a Maryland product whose flexibility across the offensive line has kept him on the field in Pittsburgh. A late-round pick, he has grown into one of the Steelers' most useful depth linemen and is positioned to compete for a starting job.
Path to the league
Anderson played all five offensive line positions during his career at Maryland, building a reputation for versatility. The Pittsburgh Steelers drafted him in the seventh round, 251st overall, of the 2023 NFL Draft.
Career highlights
Anderson appeared in all 17 games in 2024 with four starts, filling in across the interior. His ability to line up at multiple spots has made him a dependable answer when injuries strike along the Steelers line.
2025 season
Anderson played 160 snaps as an extra offensive lineman and 193 snaps at left guard in 2025, filling in for Isaac Seumalo as the veteran dealt with injuries. With Seumalo departing for Arizona in free agency, Anderson is in line to compete for the starting left guard job in 2026.
