Terrill Davis is a wide receiver with an unusual road to the NFL, having not picked up football seriously until his senior year of high school in 2020. After a record-setting run at Division II Central Oklahoma and a final season at Oklahoma State, he signed with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent following the 2026 NFL Draft.
Path to the league
Davis spent his freshman year focused on basketball before switching to football as a high school senior in 2020. He played three seasons at Division II Central Oklahoma from 2022 to 2024 before transferring to Oklahoma State for his final season in 2025, then went undrafted in 2026 and signed with the Vikings.
Career highlights
Davis broke out at Central Oklahoma, catching 58 passes for 738 yards and four touchdowns combined across 2022 and 2023 before an explosive 2024 season in which he led all levels of college football with 109 catches, 1,609 yards and 15 touchdowns. That performance earned him first-team All-MIAA and UCO All-American honors.
2025 season recap
Moving up to the FBS level at Oklahoma State for his final college season, Davis caught 29 passes for 373 yards, a modest but respectable transition given the jump in competition after his Division II breakout. He went unselected in the 2026 NFL Draft but signed with Minnesota as an undrafted free agent, wearing No. 40 for the Vikings.
