Jordan Addison

Wide Receiver · USC

Vikings receiver and 2022 Biletnikoff winner who has been a deep-ball target for whoever wins Minnesota's QB job.

Jordan Addison has been one of the more productive young receivers in the NFC North since Minnesota drafted him in the first round in 2023. In 2026 he became the litmus test for the Vikings' quarterback competition: at OTAs, the difference between Kyler Murray and J.J. McCarthy showed up most clearly on deep balls thrown his way.

Path to the league

Won the Biletnikoff Award as college football's top receiver in 2021 at Pittsburgh before transferring to USC. Taken 23rd overall by Minnesota in 2023. Stepped into a significant role immediately opposite Justin Jefferson.

Role with the Vikings

A vertical and intermediate threat who complements Justin Jefferson. At the 2026 OTAs his routes became the clearest measuring stick in the McCarthy-Murray competition: Murray hit him in stride at the goal line on a deep ball, while McCarthy's version of the same throw forced an adjustment, a contrast widely noted in coverage of the practice.
