Path to the league

Keenan starred at Ramsay High School in Birmingham, Alabama, before redshirting his first year with the Crimson Tide in 2021. He worked his way into the rotation over the following seasons and became a full-time starter by his junior year. The Rams selected him with the 232nd overall pick in the seventh round of the 2026 NFL Draft.

Over his final two full seasons at Alabama (2023-2024), Keenan totaled 78 tackles, nine tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks while starting the majority of the Crimson Tide's games.
