Tomas Rimac started at guard for four seasons at West Virginia before spending his final year of eligibility at Virginia Tech. Undrafted in 2026, he joined the Vikings looking to carve out a role with his size and starting experience against Big 12 and ACC competition.
Path to the league
Rimac was a three-star recruit out of Brunswick High School in Ohio, where he also won a state championship in the discus throw. He signed with West Virginia, redshirted as a true freshman in 2021, and became a starter the following season before transferring to Virginia Tech for 2025. He went unselected in the 2026 NFL Draft and signed with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent.

Rimac earned first-team Freshman All-American recognition from The Athletic after stepping into West Virginia's starting lineup at left guard in 2022.
