Vershon Lee is a versatile South Carolina product who started games at three different offensive line positions before landing with the Vikings.
Lee built his college resume as a jack-of-all-trades lineman at South Carolina, starting at left guard, center and right tackle across five seasons. He went undrafted in 2025 but earned a reserve/futures deal with Minnesota after making his NFL debut on special teams that fall.
Path to the league
A Woodbridge, Virginia native out of Freedom High School, Lee was a three-star recruit who committed to South Carolina. He played five seasons for the Gamecocks between 2020 and 2024, finishing with 51 games played and 40 starts, and capped his career with an invitation to the 2025 Tropical Bowl.
Career highlights
Lee's college tape showed rare positional flexibility, starting nine games at left guard as a sophomore, splitting time between left guard and right tackle in 2023, and starting all 13 games at center as a senior in 2024, when he was named a Rex Enright permanent team captain. He went undrafted in 2025 despite that experience but drew minicamp interest from Kansas City and Chicago before signing with the Vikings.
2025 season recap
Lee signed with Minnesota as an undrafted free agent on June 13, 2025, and made his NFL debut on October 5 against Cleveland on special teams. The Vikings rewarded his rookie showing with a reserve/futures contract on January 5, 2026.
