Trent Scott has never been a marquee name, but he has quietly stuck around the league for the better part of a decade by being ready whenever an offensive line needs him. He returned to Washington on a one-year deal to continue that role.

Path to the league

Scott starred at Grambling State, allowing just three sacks across his entire collegiate career. He went undrafted in 2018 and signed with the Los Angeles Chargers, where he eventually stepped into the starting left tackle role after an injury opened the door.

Scott has played for the Chargers, Panthers and Steelers in addition to Washington, appearing in 96 career regular-season games with 26 starts through his eighth season. He has been valued around the league for his ability to play multiple spots along the offensive line.
