Tyreak Sapp redshirted his first year at Florida and gradually worked into a full-time role, using leverage and strength to become a steady presence against the run in the Gators' defensive front. He went undrafted in the 2026 NFL Draft but signed with the Cleveland Browns, adding depth to Cleveland's edge rotation.
Path to the league
Sapp starred at St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, piling up more than 100 tackles, 21.5 sacks and five fumble recoveries as a four-star recruit with offers from Alabama, Georgia Tech, Miami and Ohio State. He signed with Florida, redshirted as a true freshman in 2021, and worked his way into the rotation over the following seasons before going undrafted in 2026 and signing with the Cleveland Browns as a free agent.

Sapp finished his Florida career with 125 tackles, 21.5 tackles for loss, 10.0 sacks, four forced fumbles and two passes defended across five seasons. His best individual season came in 2024, when his 7 sacks and 13 tackles for loss led the Gators' defense and earned him a team-high 90.4 Pro Football Focus grade.
2025 season recap
Sapp closed out his college career at Florida in 2025 as a multi-year starter on the defensive line, continuing to anchor the Gators' run defense with his leverage and strength at 6-foot-2 and 274 pounds. He went undrafted in the 2026 NFL Draft but signed with the Browns as a free agent on May 8, 2026, entering training camp in a crowded edge rusher room.
