Broncos Rule Out Marvin Mims Jr. Against Jaguars With Foot Injury
The All-Pro returner did not practice all week after leaving Monday's loss in Kansas City, the same right foot he hurt in the preseason finale. Pat Bryant takes his offensive snaps.
Denver Broncos receiver and returner Marvin Mims Jr. has been ruled out for Sunday's home game against Jacksonville with a foot injury after missing every practice this week.
When was he hurt?
Mims left Monday night's 31-10 loss at Kansas City in the first quarter with what the team first announced as a hip injury, then came back to play nine snaps. He had injured his right foot in the preseason finale on Aug. 28. A 2023 second-round pick in the last year of his rookie deal, he has made two Pro Bowls and was a first-team All-Pro returner in 2024.
Who replaces him?
Pat Bryant took most of Mims' offensive snaps in Kansas City and caught four passes for 42 yards. Kris Abrams-Draine handled punts when Mims was unavailable, and RJ Harvey and Jonah Coleman are the kickoff returners.
