The Cleveland Browns placed running back Dylan Sampson on injured reserve Tuesday with a knee injury he suffered returning a kickoff in Sunday's 34-10 loss at Jacksonville, sidelining him for at least four games.
What does Cleveland lose?
Sampson, a 2025 fourth-round pick, opened the season as the No. 2 back behind Quinshon Judkins and as one of the team's primary kick returners. The earliest he can return is Week 6 against Baltimore.
Who takes his snaps?
Second-year back Raheim Sanders, the only other running back on the 53-man roster, inherits both the offensive and special-teams roles. Cleveland signed Jaleel McLaughlin from the practice squad to fill the roster spot.
