Patrick Mahomes Reaches 100 Wins in 131 Starts, Tying Tom Brady's Pace
Kansas City beat the winless Chargers 22-6 to stay the AFC's only unbeaten team. Mahomes completed all 13 of his first-half passes without pressure despite missing two starting receivers.
Patrick Mahomes earned his 100th regular-season win in his 131st start in Sunday's 22-6 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers, tying Tom Brady for the fewest starts needed to reach 100 wins since 1950. "I feel like every game I win, I tie him," Mahomes said, calling Brady "the GOAT."
How did the Chiefs win without their top receivers?
Rashee Rice (hamstring) and Tyquan Thornton (ankle) were out. Mahomes completed all 13 first-half passes he threw without pressure for 140 yards, Xavier Worthy caught a season-high seven passes for 73 yards, and Travis Kelce and Noah Gray combined for 106. Kenneth Walker III scored on a 33-yard run and finished with 128 rushing yards.
Where does it leave Kansas City?
At 5-0 and alone as the AFC's last unbeaten team. "We're lucky to have him," Andy Reid said. Mahomes, 31, is in his 10th season and has three Super Bowl rings.
