Eagles' Jalen Carter to Play With a Cast on His Right Wrist at Tennessee

Carter hurt the wrist trying to punch the ball out against Washington and returned to practice Thursday on a limited basis. Cooper DeJean and Jonathan Greenard were also limited.

Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter will wear a cast on his injured right wrist in Sunday's game at Tennessee. Asked how much it changes for him, he said: "Pretty much nothing. It's just a cast. I'm still going to have to strike, grab, play the run and pass rush."

How did he get hurt?

Carter injured the wrist in the fourth quarter of the Week 1 win over Washington while trying to punch the ball away from Terry McLaurin after a catch. He sat out Wednesday's practice and was limited Thursday with the cast on. "I can't let it affect me," he said. Carter, 25, has made the last two Pro Bowls and signed a four-year extension in July.

Who else is on the Eagles' report?

Defensive back Cooper DeJean (calf and abdomen) and edge rusher Jonathan Greenard (pec) were limited Thursday, which is a step forward for Greenard after he missed the opener. Safety Andrew Mukuba sat out with a knee injury. Left guard Landon Dickerson is already on injured reserve.
