What made CJ2K a Titans legend?
Tennessee drafted Johnson 24th overall in 2008, and within two seasons he authored one of the great years any running back has ever had. In 2009 he rushed for 2,006 yards, the seventh-highest single-season total in NFL history, and added 503 receiving yards for 2,509 yards from scrimmage, an NFL record. That season earned him the CJ2K nickname and NFL Offensive Player of the Year honors. Across six seasons in Tennessee from 2008 to 2013, he piled up 7,965 rushing yards and 58 touchdowns, both fourth in franchise history. He was not just productive, he was appointment viewing, a threat to go 80 yards any time he touched the ball.

On June 29, Johnson shared that he had been diagnosed with ALS, the neurodegenerative disease also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, and met the news with three words: 'I chose to fight.' Days later he was pushing to bring back the Ice Bucket Challenge, turning his own diagnosis into a platform for ALS awareness and research.
