Adam Randall spent most of his Clemson career catching passes before an emergency move to running back during the 2024 season turned into a full-time transition. By 2025 he was the Tigers' starting tailback, and the Ravens made him a fifth-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft to add a versatile, pass-catching threat to their backfield.
Path to the league
Randall was a four-star wide receiver recruit out of Myrtle Beach High School in South Carolina and played primarily receiver for Clemson from 2022 to 2024. When injuries thinned Clemson's running back room late in the 2024 season, he stepped in out of the backfield, and the position switch stuck. The Ravens selected him in the fifth round, 174th overall, in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Career highlights
Across his first three seasons at Clemson, Randall caught 48 passes for 493 yards as primarily a wide receiver. His full-time move to running back in 2025 produced his best all-around season, and his dual-threat skill set as both a runner and a natural pass-catcher out of the backfield is what stood out to NFL evaluators.

In his first year as Clemson's starting running back, Randall rushed 168 times for 814 yards and 10 touchdowns while adding 36 receptions for 254 yards and 3 more scores through the air. The dual-threat production made him one of the ACC's more versatile offensive weapons and set up his draft selection by Baltimore.
