10th all-time in career rushing yards, tied for fourth in rushing TDs, still bulldozing defenses at 32.
Derrick Henry's second season in Baltimore included another 1,595-yard, 16-touchdown campaign at age 31. He passed Tony Dorsett for 10th on the all-time rushing list and tied Adrian Peterson at 120 career rushing touchdowns, fourth all time. The Ravens missed the playoffs in part because Henry hit a wall in November, the first time his late-season usage actually caught up with him.
Path to the league
Alabama legend who set the SEC single-season rushing record (2,219 yards) and won the 2015 Heisman Trophy. Titans took him 45th overall in 2016. Took over as the lead back in 2018 and dominated for six straight years in Tennessee. Signed with Baltimore in March 2024 on a two-year, $16 million deal that became the bargain of the decade.
Career highlights
2020 NFL Offensive Player of the Year. 2020 NFL MVP runner-up (the year he rushed for 2,027 yards, the eighth player ever to clear 2,000). 2015 Heisman Trophy. Five-time Pro Bowler, two-time first-team All-Pro. 10th all time in career rushing yards. Tied for fourth all time in rushing TDs (120) with Adrian Peterson.
2025 season recap
1,595 rushing yards on 307 carries (5.2 yards per attempt), 16 rushing touchdowns. Added 15 catches for 150 receiving yards. Hit a wall in November when a hamstring issue limited him for three games. Baltimore's offense never recovered the same gear, and the Ravens missed the playoffs at 8-9 despite Lamar Jackson playing at an MVP level when healthy.
What to watch in 2026
Henry turns 32 in January and is on a contract year heading into 2026. Jesse Minter's new staff has signaled they want to reduce his early-down carries to keep him fresh for January. The Ravens drafted Bhayshul Tuten in the third round as the change-of-pace back. Henry only needs about 1,400 more career rushing yards to crack the top five all time.

Latest news about Derrick Henry
All news →Tony Pollard and Derrick Henry are the only backs with four straight 1,000-yard seasons. Robert Saleh wants a fifth.
Pollard ran for a career-best 1,082 yards in 2025. His new head coach saw it up close as an opposing coordinator and came away a believer. The Titans' run game is the steady piece around Cam Ward's development.
Lamar Jackson, Jesse Minter and the Ravens' real measure: a Super Bowl, not another MVP
Baltimore enters 2026 with a new head coach, the second-shortest title odds in football, and a quarterback who has nothing left to prove except in January.
