An LSU national champion and well-traveled offensive tackle now looking to stabilize his career in Tennessee.
Austin Deculus has been a well-traveled offensive lineman since entering the NFL in 2022, moving through Houston, the Jets, New Orleans and Los Angeles before landing with Tennessee. A veteran of LSU's 2019 national championship team, he brings starting experience at tackle to whichever roster he lands on.
Path to the league
Deculus spent five seasons at LSU, four of them as the starting right tackle, and was part of the Tigers' 2019 national championship team. The Houston Texans drafted him in the sixth round, 205th overall, of the 2022 NFL Draft.
Career highlights
Deculus has played for four different organizations, the Texans, Jets, Saints and Chargers, appearing in 26 career regular-season games as he has searched for a permanent starting role along the offensive line.
2025 season recap
Deculus played 13 games for the Los Angeles Chargers in 2025, starting five of them, but struggled statistically, finishing with a 36.5 overall PFF grade that ranked near the bottom among qualified offensive tackles. He signed with the Tennessee Titans afterward.
