Barion Brown built his college reputation as a home-run threat, first at Kentucky and then at LSU, finishing his career one shy of the NCAA record for kickoff-return touchdowns. New Orleans drafted him in the sixth round of the 2026 draft, adding a game-breaking element to the return game and receiver room.
Path to the league
Brown starred at Pearl-Cohn High School in Nashville, where he was named Tennessee Class 4A Mr. Football and won state championships in the 100m and 200m dashes. He spent three seasons at Kentucky before transferring to LSU in December 2024 for his final college season. The Saints selected him in the sixth round, 190th overall, in the 2026 NFL draft.

2025 season recap
In his lone season at LSU in 2025, Brown led the Tigers with 53 catches for 532 yards and appeared in 13 games with nine starts. He added a signature moment in the Texas Bowl with a 99-yard kickoff-return touchdown that set the SEC career record. That blend of receiving reliability and return-game explosiveness made him a Day 3 target for the Saints.
