Jalen Moreno-Cropper is a wide receiver with the New Orleans Saints who built a standout college resume at Fresno State before grinding through several NFL practice squads. After a strong 2026 UFL stint with the Houston Gamblers, the California native signed with New Orleans, bringing return-game versatility along with his receiving ability.
Path to the league
A four-star recruit out of Buchanan High School in California with Power 5 offers from Utah, Nebraska, California and Oregon, Moreno-Cropper played four seasons at Fresno State from 2019-2022. He went undrafted in the 2023 NFL Draft and signed with the Dallas Cowboys.
Career highlights
Moreno-Cropper closed his Fresno State career with 220 receptions for 2,701 yards and 21 touchdowns across 43 games, capped by first-team All-Mountain West honors as a senior after a 1,093-yard season. With Dallas, he cycled between the practice squad and active roster over three seasons, appearing in four career NFL games.
2025 season recap
Moreno-Cropper played in three games for the Cowboys in 2025, contributing on special teams with three punt returns for 27 yards and two kickoff returns for 38 yards. After being let go, he signed with the UFL's Houston Gamblers in February 2026 and caught 22 passes for 291 yards with a 93-yard kickoff return touchdown before the Saints signed him in June 2026.
