A big-bodied Tennessee product with a football bloodline, Cedric Tillman has settled in as a reliable possession receiver for Cleveland since being drafted in 2023.

Tillman brings a 6-foot-3 frame and physical style to Cleveland's receiving corps, traits that made him one of the most productive pass catchers in the SEC during his breakout 2021 season at Tennessee. He's the son of a former NFL receiver and has carved out a steady role in the Browns' offense.

Path to the league

The Las Vegas native played five college seasons at Tennessee, highlighted by a monster 2021 campaign in which he caught 64 passes for 1,081 yards and 12 touchdowns. A high ankle sprain limited him to a shortened 2022 season, but the Cleveland Browns still used the 74th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft to bring him in as a physical target for the passing game.

Career highlights

At 6-foot-3 and 213 pounds, Tillman immediately gave Cleveland one of its tallest and most physical receivers, a matchup weapon on contested catches and in the red zone. His father, Cedric Sr., played wide receiver at Alcorn State and spent four NFL seasons with the Broncos and Jaguars in the 1990s.
