The son of WWE Hall of Famer Scott Steiner, Brock Rechsteiner turned a modest Jacksonville State receiving career into an undrafted shot with the Saints.
Brock Rechsteiner comes from wrestling royalty, the son of Scott Steiner and nephew of Rick Steiner, but he made his own name as a wide receiver at Jacksonville State. After going unselected in the 2026 NFL Draft, he earned a roster spot with New Orleans the hard way, via a tryout at rookie minicamp.
Path to the league
Rechsteiner starred at Etowah High School in Woodstock, Georgia, before enrolling at Jacksonville State, where he redshirted his first year and gradually worked from tight end into a full-time wide receiver role. He went undrafted in 2026, first attending the Tennessee Titans' rookie minicamp before the Saints signed him on May 12, 2026 following a tryout at their own rookie minicamp.
Career highlights
Over his Jacksonville State career, Rechsteiner caught 53 passes for 629 yards and seven touchdowns, including an 85-yard touchdown against Southern Miss in 2024. While in college, he also joined WWE's Next In Line program, entering name, image and likeness agreements with the wrestling company connected to his family's legacy.
2025 season recap
Rechsteiner posted the best statistical season of his college career in 2025, hauling in 36 receptions for 383 yards and five touchdowns for Jacksonville State. The production helped him land a post-draft opportunity, and after impressing at the Saints' rookie minicamp he was signed to the roster in May 2026.
