Broderick Jones is a former Georgia left tackle the Pittsburgh Steelers traded up to draft in the first round in 2023. He moved to the left side full time in 2025 but saw his season cut short by a neck injury.
Path to the league
Jones protected the blind side for Georgia's national title-winning team in the 2021 season. The Steelers selected him 14th overall in the 2023 NFL Draft. He wears number 77 in honor of former Georgia teammate Devin Willock, who died in a car crash in January 2023.
Career highlights
After playing right tackle for his first two seasons, Jones shifted to left tackle entering 2025, the spot he manned in college. He has been a fixture on the Steelers line since arriving as a top-15 pick.
2025 season
Jones opened 2025 as Pittsburgh's starting left tackle but was placed on injured reserve after suffering a neck injury in Week 12 against the Chicago Bears, ending his season. Per Pro Football Focus, he posted a 57.7 overall grade before the injury and allowed 23 total pressures, including six sacks, in pass protection.
