Carl Granderson is a Wyoming product who has developed into a productive edge rusher for the New Orleans Saints.
Carl Granderson went undrafted out of Wyoming and worked his way into a meaningful role on the New Orleans defensive line. He has rewarded the Saints with consistent pass-rush production and earned a sizable contract. In 2025 he posted one of the more well-rounded statistical seasons of his career.
Path to the league
Granderson played college football for the Wyoming Cowboys and entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2019, signing with New Orleans. He steadily earned a larger role and eventually a multi-year extension worth roughly $52 million as a fixture on the Saints' edge.
2025 season
Granderson appeared in all 17 regular-season games in 2025, recording 57 tackles, 6.0 sacks, nine quarterback hits, 11 tackles for loss, four passes defensed and his first career interception. The Saints noted he transitioned from a full-time starter into more of a rotational role alongside Chase Young while remaining productive.
