Carter Bradley threw for school-record numbers at South Alabama after starting his college career at Toledo, and he has spent his early pro years fighting for a roster spot with multiple NFL teams. He now holds a reserve/future contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars, the team he grew up rooting for as the son of longtime NFL defensive coordinator Gus Bradley.
Path to the league
Bradley began his college career at Toledo (2018-2021), where he earned Academic All-MAC honors twice and posted the third-highest passing efficiency in the MAC in 2020. He transferred to South Alabama for his final two seasons and went undrafted in 2024.
Career highlights
Bradley's 2022 season at South Alabama was a career year: he set school records with 3,326 passing yards, 276 completions and 28 touchdowns, earning second-team All-Sun Belt honors and finishing 22nd nationally in passing touchdowns. He signed with the Las Vegas Raiders as an undrafted free agent in 2024 and was later promoted to the active roster.
2025 season recap
Bradley signed with the San Francisco 49ers in 2025 before being waived, then joined the Jacksonville Jaguars' practice squad that September. He spent the rest of the season developing behind Jacksonville's starters and signed a reserve/future contract with the team in January 2026.
