Charles Snowden

Linebacker · Virginia

A towering 6-foot-7 edge rusher who bounced between four organizations before signing on with Dallas.

Charles Snowden's basketball frame and long college resume at Virginia never translated into a draft selection, but he has carved out a nine-year run in the league anyway, most recently with three seasons in Las Vegas. He signed with the Cowboys in June 2026, though he will open his tenure there suspended for the first three games.

★ Signed with the Dallas Cowboys in June 2026

Path to the league

Snowden played defensive end at Virginia from 2017 to 2020, earning second-team All-ACC honors as a senior in 2020 after recording six sacks and ten tackles for loss, before a broken ankle late that season contributed to him going undrafted in 2021. He signed with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent and made his NFL debut against Green Bay that December.

Career highlights

Snowden's path has taken him from Chicago's practice squad to Tampa Bay in 2022 and then to Las Vegas from 2023 through 2025, where he became a regular contributor, starting nine games in one season and recording his first career interception in November 2025. Across his time with the Raiders he posted 67 tackles, 4.5 sacks and that interception.

2025 season recap

Snowden closed out his Las Vegas tenure in 2025 with his best statistical season, including his first career pick, before signing with Dallas in June 2026 after trying out at the Cowboys' mandatory minicamp. He will miss the start of his Cowboys tenure after the NFL suspended him for the first three games of the 2026 season stemming from a December 2024 DUI arrest in Las Vegas.
