A Division II All-American who worked his way up from Nassau Community College, Collier is fighting for a foothold as a depth back in Las Vegas.

Chris Collier's college path ran through a community college and two other stops before a breakout year at Lock Haven put him on NFL radars. He has bounced between practice squads and active rosters since going undrafted, and his 2025 season with the Raiders was mostly spent developing behind the scenes.

Path to the league

Collier started his college career at Nassau Community College in New York before playing for Wagner from 2020 to 2022, a stretch complicated by multiple concussions. He transferred to Division II Lock Haven for his final season in 2023 and broke out with 1,393 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns, earning AFCA Division II All-American first-team honors and becoming just the third Lock Haven alum to reach the NFL.

Career highlights

Collier's All-American season at Lock Haven remains the signature achievement of his football career, a huge statistical jump that came after years of grinding through smaller programs. He signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent in 2024, made his NFL debut that September, and later joined the Las Vegas Raiders' practice squad before getting his first NFL carries down the stretch of that season.

2025 season recap

Collier spent almost all of the 2025 season on the Raiders' practice squad after not making the 53-man roster out of training camp. He was elevated to the active roster in late December and got limited action in the regular-season finale, rushing twice for six yards and catching one pass for a loss of four yards.
