A five-year college receiver who set Ohio's single-season receiving record in his lone year as a Bobcat before landing with the Colts.
Coleman Owen is an Indianapolis Colts wide receiver who took a long road through college, starting at Northern Arizona before a huge final season at Ohio put him on NFL radars. He signed with Indianapolis as an undrafted free agent and has begun carving out a role on special teams.
Path to the league
Owen grew up in Gilbert, Arizona, attending Higley High School before playing five seasons at Northern Arizona from 2019 to 2023. He transferred to Ohio for a final college season in 2024, then went unselected in the 2025 NFL Draft and signed with the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent.
Career highlights
Owen earned second-team All-Big Sky honors twice at Northern Arizona, in 2022 and 2023. His breakout came in his single season at Ohio in 2024, when he caught 78 passes for 1,245 yards and 8 touchdowns, setting the Ohio Bobcats' single-season receiving yardage record and becoming just the third player in program history to top 1,000 receiving yards in a season. That performance earned him first-team All-MAC recognition.
2025 season recap
Owen was waived by Indianapolis in final cuts but added to the practice squad on August 27, 2025. He was elevated for two games late in the season, contributing on special teams with 5 kickoff returns for 141 yards and a punt return. He signed a reserve/futures contract with the Colts in January 2026.
