DaRon Bland turned into one of the league's most dangerous ball-hawking cornerbacks after Dallas took him in the fifth round in 2022. His record-setting 2023 season put him among the game's elite defensive backs, though foot injuries have since interrupted his last two seasons.
Path to the league
Bland began his college career at Sacramento State before transferring to Fresno State. The Cowboys selected him in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

Bland appeared in 12 games in 2025, recording 73 tackles and six passes defensed, including an interception, before a left foot injury landed him on season-ending injured reserve in December. It was the second time in two years a foot injury cut his season short, after a similar fracture cost him 10 games in 2024.
