Derion Kendrick built a championship pedigree in college before the Rams drafted him in 2022. His NFL path has included a year out of football, a productive stop in Seattle, and now a fresh start after signing with Dallas.
Path to the league
Kendrick began his college career at Clemson, winning a national championship in 2018, before transferring to Georgia and winning a second title there in 2021. The Rams selected him in the sixth round, 212th overall, of the 2022 NFL Draft.
Career highlights
Kendrick started six of 15 games as a rookie for the Rams in 2022 and played two seasons in Los Angeles before spending 2024 out of football. He returned in 2025 with Seattle, then re-signed with Dallas on a one-year, $4 million deal.
2025 season recap
Kendrick appeared in 10 games for the Seahawks, recording seven tackles, two interceptions and five pass deflections, including interceptions in back-to-back weeks while filling in for an injured Devon Witherspoon. Seattle waived him on November 26, 2025, due to a roster numbers crunch before he signed with Dallas.
