Dion Dawkins is the Buffalo Bills' longtime left tackle and a five-time Pro Bowler protecting MVP quarterback Josh Allen.
Dion Dawkins came out of Temple as a second-round pick and grew into one of the most reliable left tackles in the AFC. He has anchored Buffalo's line for nearly a decade and added another Pro Bowl nod in 2025.
Path to the league
Dawkins played college football for the Temple Owls and was selected by the Bills in the second round, 63rd overall, of the 2017 NFL Draft. He earned a starting role early and never let it go. He has remained Josh Allen's primary blind-side protector throughout Allen's career.
Career highlights
Dawkins has become a perennial Pro Bowler, and per the Buffalo Bills he was named to the AFC team for a fourth consecutive season. He signed a three-year extension that keeps him in Buffalo through the 2027 season. He has built his reputation on durability and steady pass protection.
2025 season
Dawkins earned his fifth consecutive Pro Bowl selection for the 2025 season. Per PFF he posted a 73.9 overall grade, 28th among 89 qualified tackles, while his 81.5 pass-blocking grade ranked seventh. He continued to protect reigning NFL MVP Josh Allen as Buffalo pushed deep into contention.
