Drew Kendall followed his father into both Boston College and the pros, arriving in Philadelphia as a fifth-round pick with a reputation for pass protection. He spent most of his rookie year learning behind Cam Jurgens before getting his first real chance to start.
Path to the league
The Eagles selected Kendall with the 168th overall pick (fifth round) of the 2025 NFL Draft out of Boston College. He started 37 games in college, all at center, and finished his final season with a first-team All-ACC selection and an invite to the East-West Shrine Bowl.
Career highlights
Kendall started 31 consecutive games at center to close out his Boston College career, allowing just two sacks combined over his final two seasons. He comes from an NFL family: his father, Pete Kendall, was a first-round pick out of Boston College in 1996 and started 188 games over a 13-year career with the Seahawks, Cardinals, Jets and Washington.
2025 season recap
Kendall made the Eagles' initial 53-man roster and spent the bulk of his rookie season as the backup center behind Cam Jurgens. He got his most significant action in the Week 18 finale, making his first NFL start at center and playing 64 snaps.
