Evan Svoboda's college career is one of the more unusual paths in this rookie class, a converted quarterback who threw for over 1,300 yards in 2024 before switching to tight end in 2025. Path to the league
Svoboda, out of Red Mountain High School in Mesa, Arizona, began his college career at Snow College before transferring to Wyoming in 2022. He spent parts of four seasons behind center for the Cowboys, including a full year as the starting quarterback in 2024, before moving to tight end for his final season in 2025. He went undrafted in the 2026 NFL Draft and signed a three-year contract with the Los Angeles Chargers.

As Wyoming's starting quarterback in 2024, Svoboda completed 111 of 226 passes for 1,318 yards with five touchdowns and eight interceptions while also rushing for 237 yards and five scores.
