Harrison Mevis earned his nickname and an All-American reputation at Missouri, but he went undrafted in 2024 and had to fight through a brief stint with the Carolina Panthers and a season in the UFL before landing his shot in Los Angeles. He turned a practice-squad opportunity into the Rams' starting kicker job during the 2025 season.
Path to the league
At Missouri, Mevis earned first-team All-American honors in 2021 and made a pair of All-SEC teams. He went undrafted in 2024, briefly signed with the Carolina Panthers before being waived, and then kicked for the UFL's Birmingham Stallions, converting 21 of 23 field goals with a long of 56 yards to keep his name in front of NFL teams.
Career highlights
Mevis signed to the Rams' practice squad in November and worked his way onto the active roster, debuting in Week 10 against San Francisco. He finished his first Rams regular season having made 12 of 13 field-goal attempts and all 39 extra points.
2025 season recap
Mevis went 12-for-13 on field goals (92.3%) with a long of 52 yards during the 2025 regular season, his lone miss coming against Seattle in Week 16. He earned a 77.1 PFF field-goal grade, ranking 17th among qualified kickers, and was perfect in the playoffs, going 6-for-6 on field goals and 9-for-9 on extra points across two postseason games.
