Tyler Loop left Arizona as one of the most accurate kickers in program history and became a piece of Ravens history himself as the first placekicker Baltimore has ever selected in the draft. He won the job outright as a rookie and handled a full season of kicking duties.
Path to the league
Loop, out of Lovejoy High School in Lucas, Texas, began his Arizona career as the Wildcats' punter in 2020 before taking over placekicking duties in 2021, when he went a perfect 12-for-12 on field goals and extra points. Over five seasons in Tucson he set the program record with a 62-yard field goal and finished with an 83.8 percent career field goal percentage, one of the best marks in NCAA history.
Career highlights
Loop made 18 of 23 field goal attempts in his final Arizona season in 2024, including his record-setting 62-yarder. The Ravens made him the first kicker in franchise history to be drafted, taking him in the sixth round, 186th overall, in the 2025 NFL Draft, and he was the second kicker off the board that year.
2025 season recap
Loop won Baltimore's kicking job as a rookie and finished the season 30-for-34 on field goals (90.6 percent) with a long of 52 yards, adding 44 of 46 extra points. His lone rough moment came in Week 18, when he missed a 44-yard game-winning attempt as time expired in a two-point loss.
