Jacob Martin has bounced around the NFL since entering as a sixth-round pick out of Temple, carving out a role as a rotational pass rusher. He had the most productive season of his career in 2025 with Washington. He reunited with head coach Robert Saleh by signing with the Tennessee Titans in 2026.
Path to the league
Martin was a second-team All-American Athletic Conference performer at Temple. The Seattle Seahawks selected him in the sixth round, 186th overall, of the 2018 NFL Draft. He has since played for several teams across his career, including a brief stint with the Jets under Robert Saleh in 2022.
2025 season
Martin appeared in all 17 games for the Washington Commanders in 2025, with 14 starts. He recorded career highs with 5.5 sacks and 18 quarterback hits, adding 39 combined tackles, one pass deflection, and one forced fumble.
Looking ahead
On March 13, 2026, Martin signed a two-year, $11 million contract with the Titans. In Tennessee he reunites with head coach Robert Saleh and joins former teammates John Franklin-Myers and Solomon Thomas on the defensive front.
