Jacoby Jones

A well-traveled receiver who played at three different colleges, including juco ball, before making his NFL debut in Madrid.

Jacoby Jones took a winding road through Northwest Mississippi, Ohio and UCF before signing with Washington as an undrafted free agent in 2025. His first regular-season NFL catch came in a game played overseas, and he now looks to carve out a bigger role behind Terry McLaurin.

Path to the league

Jones began his college career at Northwest Mississippi from 2019 to 2021, then transferred to Ohio for the 2022 and 2023 seasons before finishing at UCF in 2024. He went undrafted in 2025 and signed with the Washington Commanders as a free agent.

Career highlights

Jones was Ohio's second-leading receiver in 2022 with 777 yards and six touchdowns before a broken leg cut his 2023 season short. He closed out his college career at UCF in 2024 with 22 receptions for 327 yards and two touchdowns.

2025 season recap

Jones appeared in one game for Washington during his rookie season, making his NFL debut in a game played in Madrid against the Miami Dolphins, where he caught his only target for 25 yards. He signed a reserve/future contract with the Commanders in January 2026 and will compete for a reserve role behind Terry McLaurin.
